Moulds

 

A mould is a hollow inside-out shape of the product. The hollow part is how the product will come out.

Injection moulds, depending on the complexity, can be very expansive in development, but by making a lot of products with the same mould the price per piece can stay low and make it very economically interesting.

The moulds are made by FKD in our very own toolshop. Together with the client we take a look at the material, expected production process, product design and quantities.

Based on all those variables we choose the most efficient mould.

The moulds can be made out of aluminium or a multi-part steel mould.

With a little help of our CAD/CAM system we start the process of moulding, this ensures an accurate moulding process.
